This Privacy Policy explains how nabilog ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use the nabilog platform (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

nabilog is a browser-native petrophysical well log interpretation platform. We are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your data.

We collect the following categories of information:

Account data — name, email address, organization name, and password (stored as a hashed value) when you register.

Usage data — pages visited, features used, session duration, browser type, and IP address. Collected via server logs and analytics.

Well log data — LAS files and derived interpretation data (curve arrays, view configurations, zone picks) uploaded to your workspace. This data is processed and stored on your behalf; we do not analyze or share it beyond service delivery.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service

• Process and store your well log data within your workspace

• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing receipts)

• Improve the Service through anonymized usage analytics

• Respond to support requests and communications

• Comply with legal obligations

Your data is stored on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare (R2 object storage) and PostgreSQL-compatible database services. We apply the following security measures:

• Encryption at rest: AES-256

• Encryption in transit: TLS 1.3

• Access controls: API key authentication, role-based access within organizations

• Backup policy: daily encrypted backups with 7-day retention

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only with:

• Service providers — infrastructure providers (Cloudflare, hosting providers) who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements

• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or governmental authority

• Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, data may be transferred with prior notice to you

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data

• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated personal data

• Portability — export your well log data and interpretation outputs at any time from your account settings

• Objection — object to processing of your data for certain purposes

We use session cookies to keep you logged in during your visit. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics cookies that share data with third parties.

Your session cookie expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Upon cancellation:

• Your account and personal data are retained for 30 days to allow data export

• After 30 days, your account, uploaded files, and interpretation data are permanently deleted

• Anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email to the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
